GlassMasters participates in Graffiti Free Symposium 2010
The Auckland Region Graffiti Free Project team (ARGF) arranged an international Graffiti Free Symposium on June 8th at the Ellerslie Convention Centre in Auckland.
This symposium was an opportunity for all of those involved in graffiti management - Local Government, Trusts, Police and related businesses - to come together to share ideas about reducing graffiti vandalism and to hear from both local and international experts.
At the recent Graffiti Free Symposium 2010 (organised by ARGF), GlassMasters introduced a new product - low-cost printed anti-graffiti film – to the market.
The product has already received a lot of interest, as it provides a low-cost medium for placing advertising or community messaging on glass. This high-quality printing technique allows you to see through the film which makes it the perfect medium for bus and train windows.

"Glassmasters approached us having noticed graffiti tags on five of our large windows. Over a weekend they removed the scratches and installed an anti graffiti film. It looks much better!"
Cam Thornton, Service Manager, Auckland
"We have had our windows scratched by taggers in the past and we didn’t want it to happen again. The installation of an anti graffiti film by GlassMasters has been a cheap alternative to the otherwise costly removal of glass graffiti. Thanks very much”
Shaun, Owner, Barbers Inc, Auckland
"Fantastic service - Would definitely use GlassMasters again!"
We care about our environment. Removing scratch and mineral damage from glass by using the GlassMasters system will help reduce the amount of manufactured glass, which in turn reduces CO2 emissions. The glass industry is one of the biggest consumers of energy as every 1000kg of glass manufactured produces over 600kg of C02. Also, unlike glass bottles, most window glass is not easily recycled and is destined for the land fill. The mining of sand used to make glass also raises environmental concerns. If at all possible, restore rather than replace. Your planet will thank you.
